And He said to them, “Because of your meager faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you” (Matthew 17:20; New American Standard Bible).

Two of Jesus’ disciples tried to cast a demon out of a young boy with no success. When the boy’s father asked Jesus to help, He rebuked the demon and healed the boy instantly.
Sometimes we face crises that seem insurmountable. Jesus can solve them in an instant. However, more importantly, He tells us that by faith we can overcome our crises. Jesus said it is “faith the size of a mustard seed.” We do not need faith the size of Alaska or even an acorn. Mustard seeds are small.
What demons are you battling? What illness or crisis is overwhelming you? Do not give in to defeat. Bring it to Jesus, by faith, and expect the mountains to move. Nothing is impossible for you when you walk with Jesus.
What mountains are you facing? Believe, trust Jesus, and watch Him move the mountains.

One response to “The Words of Christ—Matthew 17:20”
I tend to think Jesus meant having faith AS a mustard seed as opposed to the size of a mustard seed. In other words, we should have progressively growing faith which will lead us to accomplishing seemingly impossible things
