Darkened Glass Reflections: Year in Review, 2024


My productivity on Darkened Glass Reflections took a big drop from 2023. That year, 112 articles appeared on this site. In 2024, there were only 53 articles, including only five in the last three months of the year. Despite that drop-off, the total number of readers skyrocketed over 60% higher than the previous year.

Many bloggers will be able to understand why I published fewer articles later in the year. It is not that I lost interest: other obligations took priority. About 20 years ago, I stepped down at assistant pastor at my former church, and my wife and I have been attending Church of the Intercessor, which is a cathedral within the International Communion of the Charismatic Episcopal Church (ICCEC). Since then, I have remained active in lay ministry, but in the last few months felt that the Holy Spirit was calling me to pursue ordination within the ICCEC. A new round of seminary course work is taking up much of my time. Pray for me that I can balance my increasing responsibilities with family, and that I would still find time to write this blog. I would be thrilled if I can get back to writing one article per week.

Now that I have explained the decline in the number of articles published this year, here is a list of the ten most-read articles on Darkened Glass Reflections in 2024:

Teaching, Reproof, Correction, and Training in Righteousness (published in 2012) remains the most-read article of all time on Darkened Glass Reflections, but it dropped out of the top ten list for the first time since it appeared. It fell to #18 for the year.
