To commemorate the Feast of the Holy Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, we look at a few of the names and titles of Jesus from Revelation 19:11-16 and elsewhere in Scripture.

In this post, I take a look back at the last year. One big lesson is that there are so many things we cannot control. We need to put our trust in God.

Jesus came to an ordinary, mundane part of the world. This is where He chose to meet us.

“For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.”

Advent is a time of preparation for a closer walk with Jesus as we reflect on His first coming and prepare for His return. This can be a good time to clear the obstacles that are hindering our relationship with Him.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:34-35).

God’s love is eternal. God’s love is infinite. Nothing can separate us from the love of God.

God’s love is eternal. It outlasts hardship. It endures beyond pain and suffering. God remains faithful and continues to love us when we may not be sure we can love ourselves. No matter what you are going through or how far you have wandered from His will, He is still just a prayer away.

Is there any sin that God will not forgive? Can I commit any sin that God will not forgive?

A prayer attributed to St. Francis asks God to “make me an instrument of Your peace.” How can we be God’s instruments?
