“It is finished!” Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, the weight of sin is taken from us and eternal life is obtained.

“So, could you not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Some thoughts for Holy Week.

“For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses” (Matthew 6:14-15).

“Take heart; it i I. Do not be afraid” (Mark 6:50).

“Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while” (Mark 6:31)

And he said to them, “Whenever you enter a house, stay there until you depart from there. And if any place will not receive you and they will not listen to you, when you leave, shake off the dust that is on your feet as a testimony against them” (Mark 6:10-11).

“And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil” (Matthew 6:13). All of the evils we face matter to God.

Some thoughts on the words of Christ in Mark 2:5-12 and John 8:9-11 in response to the “He Gets Us” ad campaign. Jesus “gets” us, but He also saves and forgives us. He loves us too much to leave us as He finds us.
