It is normal to doubt that God is perfect when life is unfair. However, He is good, even though life brings injustice and suffering.

“If you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay on earth…” (1 Peter 1:17).

To experience and manifest God’s holiness in our lives, we need to renew our minds (Romans 12:1-2) through God’s Word.

Christians are already holy through faith in Jesus. We need to learn how to live out that holiness.

Following rules does not make somebody holy. Holiness means to be set apart. People and objects become holy as they are set apart for God’s glory.

God’s moral attributes include such qualities as His love, holiness, justice, and mercy. As His children, Christians are called to reflect such qualities.

Our natural abilities can be just as important as our spiritual gifts in God’s service. The first man that the Bible says was “filled with the Spirit” was a carpenter.

“Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow” (James 1:16–17).

When we remember that God is with us always and believe in His promises, we can be strong and courageous.

Worshiping with other believers–in sacred space at a sacred time–helps us to see that all of our lives belong to God.
