Do you believe Jesus is the Son of God? Who is He to you?

Bitterness, anger, and unforgiveness will poison our worship. We need to take the initiative to heal relationships if we want to worship God in spirit and truth.

“Could you not keep watch for one hour? Keep watching and praying, so that you will not come into temptation….”

How does Jesus see our worship when it seems extravagant, fanatical, or impulsive?

Today’s devotion is a brief reflection on law and grace from the writings of St. Augustine on his feast day.

“Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.”

Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the contributors to the treasury; for they all put in out of their surplus, but she, out of her poverty, put in all she owned, all she had to live on”

How do you imagine heaven?

“And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you for your offenses”

Since some people believe Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 5 conflicts with Paul’s teaching about salvation through faith, I share thoughts on the meaning of faith based on a theory about behavior and attitudes from psychology.
