“Christ is the Morning Star, who, when the night of this world is past, gives to his saints the promise of the light of life, and opens everlasting day.”
The above quote comes from St. Bede the Venerable’s commentary on Revelation 2:28, where Jesus promises to those who overcome, “I will give him the morning star.”

Bede (ca. 672-735) was the first person to write scholarly documents in the English language, including several Bible commentaries and The History of the English Church and People, an important source about the history of the British people until 729 AD. Several denominations commemorate him on May 25.
